COLUMBIA (S.C.) - As part of the investigation into the death by shooting of Terrell Sims, a man was charged with accessory following the fact of murder. Columbia Police Department officers were constantly searching for Sims who had gone missing since the week of Christmas, and arrested Taylor Wardlaw in connection with his disappearance. According to the authorities, Eddie Brown (aged 30) is suspected of playing a role to the death of Sims. Sims, 26, was last seen on Dec. 20 on Ervin Street in Columbia. Police believe that Sims his girlfriend Wardlaw was missing since Dec. 22. The body was discovered near Monticello Road. Naida Rutherford, the Richland County coroner confirmed the body belonged to Sims. Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook states that Wardlaw is charged for murder and the possession of an firearm in a violent crime. Police say Sims was killed multiple times.
